From first-hand experience I have had the real revelation as to how critically important it is that professional up to date advice and information is accessed on all levels and Peter provided this to a high level throughout his consultative process. We not only had to address financial considerations in the application but choosing the right aged care facility that was best for our mum and managing the emotional roller coaster involved in permanent placement decisions is an extremely difficult situation. As an initial free consultation Peter met with us as a family, giving his time freely and with real interest in addressing our family’s individual needs and opinions. This is a normal part of his consultation model. Peter understands the emotive side of this process and he was mindful and professional in dealing with a family in a time of change and severe emotional stress. He provided relevant articles for my family and I to read that addressed many of the issues involved in this traumatic process and recommended freely available services that we could access if we at any stage needed extra support and counselling.

He was reassuring that we would get there with everything and made himself freely available at all times to answer questions. Many times, Peter had to encapsulate important information to make sure we fully understood, especially when our questions required it. He was available by telephone and face to face and email and regularly emailed us back information as required straight away. He managed us as a family of 3 very different personalities very successfully and assisted us throughout the process continuously checking and reviewing regularly as to how we were going and what support we may need. He would email every now and then and ask us if we needed extra help and how things were proceeding.

Peter as a person is honest, caring and highly professional and articulate. His common sense friendly manner means he is approachable and helpful and no question is too hard or too silly. I have always been very comfortable contacting him at any stage of this placement of our Mother into permanent residential aged care as Peter had worked in aged care as a manager he was able to provide information that we would not have otherwise been aware of and needed to know.
